Help Hub in Chiselborough

Andrew Buckmaster at the Cat Head is coordinating requests for help. Those who are self-isolating or social distancing who need assistance can phone Andrew on 881231 or email info@thecathead.co.uk. Cllr Adrian Pipe will assist Andrew and he can be contacted on 07736 650447.

The basics of this support is to fetch shopping from Norton Shop, and to collect medicines from Hamdon Pharmacy.

Other requests may be accommodated. All the volunteers have a numbered Identification Card showing that they are an official volunteer which we have introduced for safety reasons.

The Parish Council hope that everyone in the village will keep safe and hope that this network of support will make sure that everyone can have access to food and medicine.

Pharmacies & Prescriptions

Crewkerne Pharmacy (located within Crewkerne Health Centre) have increased their capacity to deliver prescriptions to a wider area of villages and more often. If there is anyone struggling to collect their prescriptions from the Pharmacy you may ring them on 01460 72781 to arrange this.

Please also note, you may request your prescriptions to go to any nominated Pharmacy, providing you advise your own Medical Practice of your preference of the Pharmacy you wish to dispense all your medication. All prescriptions are now sent electronically.

Also – our Chiselborough Support group offer an arrangement for a volunteer to collect prescriptions for Chiselborough people from Crewkerne or Stoke Pharmacy. For routine repeat prescriptions this will be Crewkerne on Tuesdays and Hamdon on Thursdays. If you have a prescription that needs collecting please let Andrew know on 881231.
